Wireless connectivity for mics of all kinds

The Xvive U3 Microphone Wireless Receiver is one half of Xvive's U3 system for making mics and other XLR devices wireless: This is the receiver, so it slots straight into an input on any mixing desk or interface, and must be paired with a U3 or U3C transmitter. The U3 system operates at radio frequencies between 2402MHz and 2458MHz in the 2.4GHz ISM band, which can be used for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless devices without registration and free of charge worldwide. This professional microphone wireless system excels with True Diversity technology, six freely selectable radio channels, high-quality sound thanks to its 24-bit/48kHz conversion rate, a dynamic range of 110dB, and a very wide frequency response. This receiver is just as robust as the rest of Xvive's range, but a replacement can always come in handy. For the other half of the setup, Xvive also offers the U3C and U3 transmitters, for dynamic and condenser mics, respectively – both transmitters are compatible with the U3 receiver.

Plug in and play it!

Handling the Xvive U3C receiver could scarcely be more straightforward. It's simply plugged into a free XLR input, switched on, paired with the matching transmitter – and it's ready to roll. Audio is transmitted at 24‑bit/48 kHz, covering a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range with a 110dB dynamic bandwidth. Six switchable channels allow several systems to run in parallel without causing interference. The low latency (< 5ms) ensures there are no noticeable delays in the signal path. Operating in the 2.4GHz range – the same band used by Wi‑Fi – it's usable worldwide and helps keep interference to a minimum. The maximum range sits at roughly 27m, which should be more than enough for most stage or studio setups. An LED indicator shows connection status and battery level, and a USB charging cable is included in the box.

Ready and reliable

The U3 microphone wireless receiver is an ideal choice for any vocalist who's already a fan of the Xvive wireless systems – so anyone who prefers freedom of movement without having to set up a complex wireless system. Paired with the matching Xvive U3 transmitters such as the U3, U3T or U3C, it creates a setup that can be used across different stages, rehearsal rooms, or studios without any fuss. The compact system also excels in settings such as schools and conference centres, as well as at large or small live events, trade fairs, or workshops. It starts to reach its limits when very long operating ranges or extended battery life become an issue: nothing unusual even for professional systems like this. For typical line-of-sight mobile applications, however, the U3 still delivers a reliable connection that's a distinct improvement on no‑name systems.

About Xvive Audio

Xvive Audio officially entered the market in 2012 with its compact U2 wireless guitar system. Since then, the company has also been involved in the development of wireless microphone technology. Its catalogue also includes effects pedals, such as the Signature Series, which were developed in partnership with guitarist Thomas Blug. The products are designed by an American team, based in Pasadena, California, which is composed of musicians and engineers and draws on decades of professional experience. Its lead designer, Howard Davies, was previously employed at Electro Harmonix and Pigtronix, among others. Xvive Audio's goal is to create products that deliver exceptional sound and build quality, while remaining affordable for any musician.

Effective and flexible

Whether on stage, in the rehearsal room, or for making recordings in the field, the Xvive U3 receiver is reliably versatile. Paired with a microphone and the correct U3 series transmitter, any mic can be turned into a wireless system in a matter of seconds. That makes it ideal for singers, speakers, podcasters, or MCs who want as much freedom of movement as possible during their performance. The receiver can also work with instrument miking – for brass, percussion or guitar amps – to cut down on annoying cable clutter. It's just as handy for home‑recording when long cable runs aren't practical. And anyone who's often on the move will appreciate the compact form factor, the robust housing, and especially the quick setup that makes the Xvive U3 so effective and flexible.
