I bough this Squier for the neck ...

I bough this Squier for the neck to put it on a Japanse Strat from the 90s that got crippled after 35 years. But it simply is too good to dismantle so I'll have to buy another one for that purpose.
I have a Stratocaster Player Plus (about 5x the price of this Squier) and compared to that the Squier just has a little less sparkle, is a bit more noisy (the Player has noiseless pickups) and detunes more easy (Player has locking tuners). On the other hand the Squier is lighter and plays a bit more easy, can't exactly pinpoint why.
So as a back up or as a starters guitar this is an excellent choice. I don't think you can find any better for this almost ridiculous low price.

Excellent for a beginner

I tried playing guitar as a kid on a really bad electric guitar. I never felt any love for it. As an adult I decided to try and learn again but wanted a guitar that got good reviews and made me happy to look at.
This guitar is both those things. I love the colour! It’s definitely not for everyone, but I wanted something a little different without being tacky.
Straight out of the box, this tuned up easily and immediately sounded good.
No sharp frets, lovely smooth neck, and even the strings felt pretty decent.
I don’t use a guitar amp, I play through a focusrite Scarlett interface (also available here on Thomann). The sound is fantastic, and using an interface I can use amp modelling software to recreate a Nirvana sound, clean acoustic, Black Sabbath… anything I want for the song I’m learning.
I bought this a while back but I’m pretty sure I bought it on offer and I absolutely have no regrets!

Plays well and looks the part too!

This is my first guitar, and so far, no complaints! Absolutely love the color, it really pops in real life! Plays well for the price, and feels pretty quality. Would recommend!
