The complete package with power to spare

The Mooer GE1000Li multi-effects pedal offers the exact same features as the GE1000, such as numerous effects and a wide range of amp, preamp, and speaker cabinet simulations using MNRS files, but also comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides an operating time of up to six hours for extended periods of worry-free live gigging. Inside its compact housing, the GE1000Li accommodates everything a guitarist needs in the rehearsal room, on stage, or in the studio: Tuner, balanced XLR outputs, MIDI I/O, FX loop, ground lift switch, audio interface, expression pedal, drum machine, looper, and five robust backlit footswitches. Optimum usability is ensured by a 5" colour touch screen that allows even complex multi-effects chains to be easily modified via drag and drop using only one finger alongside 17 buttons and two control knobs that provide direct access to various editing functions. And the good news is: All of this comes at the price of just two boutique pedals.

All in one – plus a few extras

The Mooer GE1000Li allows an entire conventional electric guitar setup to be modelled without making compromises on sound quality or usability. All users have to do is store the desired elements in one of the 14 slots via drag and drop in Edit mode, e.g. a boost pedal first, a smooth overdrive second, a light chorus third, followed by an amp model and a cab sim, optionally include further effects in different positions in the effects chain, subsequently adjust the resulting signal using an AI-driven master EQ, and finally store the complete setup in one of the 255 preset slots. The Mooer GE1000Li offers sufficient CPU power for computing an amp, a cab sim, and approximately twelve FX pedals without creating annoying background noise, which usually occurs with long analogue signal chains and poor-quality mains adapters on the pedal board.

The one that has it all

Its high versatility, intuitive operation, and excellent sound quality make the Mooer GE1000Li particularly interesting for advanced beginners and experienced guitarists alike. Beginners will benefit from its user-friendly, intuitive design and the possibility of exploring and learning how to use all the relevant guitar effects without spending a fortune, while experienced guitarists will be able to intuitively recreate their "old" analogue setup in next to no time. Mooer's MNRS impulse response (IR) sample files with a resolution of 2048 sample points even allow users to integrate their own amp and favourite speaker cab into the signal chain with astonishing authenticity and in excellent quality. What is more, the built-in expression pedal can be flexibly assigned different functions to directly control dynamic effects such as wah or rotary speakers.

About Mooer

Mooer is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and has been making products for guitarists since 2010, which include compact single pedals through to multi-effects units and compact amplifiers. The company initially produced a range of mini pedals before making perhaps its most significant breakthrough in 2016 with the sophisticated Ocean Machine delay pedal, which was designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend. Mooer's product range now also includes solutions that feature amp modelling, IR-based speaker simulation, and matching equalisers, and the company's focus remains firmly on the use of digital technology.

Effects galore without compromise

The numerous features of the Mooer GE1000Li make it eminently suitable for a wide range of applications. This versatile multi-effects pedal offers all the necessary functions for just about every scenario (with the only exception being recording sessions in a professional studio): A ground lift switch that will come in useful in the rehearsal room and on stage, balanced XLR outputs and an integrated low-latency USB audio interface for recordings in the home studio, a convenient headphone output for practice sessions at home, and innovative MNRS technology for integrating one's beloved analogue pedals into the effects chain. In a nutshell, the Mooer GE1000Li allows an entire chain comprising pedalboard, tuner, footswitch, amp, speaker cab, and drum machine/looper to be modelled and directly controlled without making compromises in comfort, sound quality, or the price-performance ratio.

I think I've stuck gold
Tony Spontana 28.07.2025
3 times is a charm. After the failure buys of the Headrush Flex Prime (too low output volume) and the Hotone Ampero II (impossible to tame noise gate) I finally seem the have struck gold with the Moeer GE1000li.

This device not only looks good, it also has a user-friendly interface that is easy to understand. I can easily built a rig from scratch without having to navigate through tons of unclear menu's first. The touchscreen is big and pretty responsive. Especially with the latest firmware which now allows you to use dual, split, parallel (etc.) signal paths it adds even more possibilities.

The whole unit feels sturdy with high quality footswitches. The sounds are good for me. Although I haven't been able to dial in the sound I'm looking for I'm not too worries because that is just a matter of time and trying until I find it. As for the standard presets, some are good, some are funny and some I know I will never ever use but I did not buy it for the standard presets. Also, many of the clean presets sounds very much a like.

If I have to mention some cons then I would say the battery runs out a bit fast. Also, I don't know whose idea it was to put the little dents in the expression pedal but it looks so dumb. But when using the unit you don't notice or feel it. It just looks weird. But I'm nitpicking here.

Aer the debacle with the Headrush and the Hotone I was beginning to lose hope but it turns out that the Moeer GE1000li was exactly what I was looking for all along.

Really great budget multi effects
Ty the Wandelaar 14.02.2026
I've been using a boss GT 100 for 14 years. It sadly has retired this year. After months of searching for a replacement. Ons a smaller budget I opted for the Mooer GE1000.

Must say im extremely surprised. From the box its really user friendly. Took me 10 minutes to update to latest software version. No hassle there. I play an Epiphone less paul, and wow its sounds amazing with even the standard sounds pre loaded. So many open channels to add your own stuff. Its super compact and easy for the traveling mucisian.

Only draw back was trying to register to the mooer applications. However not to big a deal for me I.MO.

Definitely will be my live performance setup going forward.

Fantastic

Tried the Headrush mx5 and its successor the flex. Neither a patch on this very user friendly logically set up rig for guitarists who want to remain guitarists not bogged down with technical details. That said, the technical aspects of this pedal outweigh those of the aforementioned because its user friendly. One needs no Mooer degree to work it.

15 jours d'essai.
Lautrec0 03.03.2024
