Let op: de levensduur van de mesh head vellen van de bass drum pads wordt aanzienlijk verlengd door de zwarte kunststof kant van de bass drum beater te gebruiken. De bass drum beater kan gemakkelijk 180 graden gedraaid worden door de borgschroef los te draaien. Het gebruik van de viltzijde daarentegen versnelt aanzienlijk het schuren en dus mogelijk het scheuren van de mesh head vellen.

The Millenium MPS-150X is an attractively priced electronic drum set that includes everything the "big ones" have: A stable, flexibly adjustable aluminium rack, five drum pads with low-noise and comfortably playable mesh heads, three cymbal pads, numerous play-along songs, various preset drum kits, and even the option for the user to programme and save their own kits. The bass drum pad can be played with a conventional bass drum pedal (included in the scope of delivery). Of course, the obligatory USB port for connecting to a computer as well as an audio input for external sound sources are also on board. In addition to an active monitor (plus connection cable), the Millenium MPS-150X E-Drum Monitor Bundle also contains a drum stool and a pair of drumsticks. The Millenium DM-30 Drum Monitor is specifically designed to amplify electronic drum sounds, so it's the perfect partner for the MPS-150X. Its space-saving two-way coaxial system comes in a solidly made wooden housing, and the two drivers are powered by a 30-watt power amplifier.

It's what inside that counts

The Millenium MPS-150X has a lot of different sound options and, with 108 voices that can also be spiced up with some reverb, covers a wide range of drum and percussion sounds. The 40 play-along songs, which vary in tempo and cover all popular genres, are just as widely varied. In terms of operation, the kit is practically self-explanatory, so the instructions can safely stay in the drawer. Some other particular highlights are the low-noise mesh heads and the fact that the cymbal pads also feature a stop function (choke), in addition to which the Millenium DM-30 has more than enough volume for use at home or in a small to medium-sized rehearsal room.

Making practice more fun

Thanks to the kit's easy-to-understand structure and "plug-and-play" design, the MPS-150X is particularly suitable for beginners who appreciate good-quality sounds and who want to practise at home without getting in trouble with the neighbours. Drummers can practise with the integrated metronome or with the fully arranged play-along songs, where the accompanying drum track can be muted. In addition, the audio input means any kind of playback source (smartphone, MP3 player, CD player, laptop, etc.) can be connected to the sound module to play along with.
