A combo – as in, short for combination – is a combination of an amplifier and a speaker in a single cabinet. In the case of the HB-40B, this cabinet is designed in such a way that it'll fit under every table and in every corner. At 12kg, it's easy to move, too, even for younger bass players. The 40W output, coupled with a 10" speaker, delivers a rich sound for playing at home or jamming with other musicians. In addition to the volume control, the internal 3-band EQ (bass, mid, treble) helps you find your own unique sound. The mid-band is parametric, so that the frequency can be adjusted continuously between 200Hz and 2kHz. In addition, a compressor can be activated at the touch of a button, which reduces undesirable level peaks and thus protects the speaker.

Zeer tevreden

Dit is mijn eerste versterker en ik had voor deze prijs geen betere uit kunnen kiezen.
Goed geluid en net niet te groot (voor een klein vrouwtje).
Met deze versterker kan ik (meer dan) hard genoeg om samen met een elektrische gitaar te spelen en zacht genoeg om de buurman niet boos te maken.

Lekker krachtige versterker

De versterker klinkt lekker diep alle instellingen klinken naar behoren. Box is stevig gebouwd en kan wel tegen een stootje.

Ik heb wel 1 probleempje gevonden en dat is als de versterker in power saving mode staat (groene led brandt), hij niet simpelweg met het aanraken van een snaar uit de powersave mode gehaald wordt; ik moet echt een 'plop' genereren (sluiting dus) en dat doe ik dmv de plug uit de gitaar te halen en deze met de punt een keer tegen de socket te tikken... vind dit wel een beetje irritant omdat die 'plop' nog best hard uit de speaker kan komen, maar het is een overkomelijk probleem. Ook komt er nogal wat ruis als je verder niets doet. Kom je te dicht bij andere electronica (in mijn geval mijn TV remote control en mijn digitale piano), gaat ie interfereren; ik hoor dan een zoemtoon uit de speaker komen. Al met al best tevreden! :)

Versterker klinkt goed voor het geld wat je er voor betaald, ideaal om een aparte mid frequentie te kunnen selecteren.
Klinkt mooi diep door de 10 inch speaker die er in zit.

gebruik hem nu een half jaar en ben er tevreden over!

ik vind deze versterker top voor mij. beginnend basspeler dus er zit waarschijnlijk nog meer in dan dat ik eruit haal.
