Solid wood - no chipboard

The Harley Benton G212 Celestion V30 features, as its name implies, pair of Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, providing 120W of power with an impedance of 8 ohms. The 12" (30cm) Celestion Vintage 30 is iconic in rock music, known for its versatile sound on countless recordings. The cabinet, measuring 50 x 66 x 36cm, is slightly angled and provides ample space for the Vintage 30s (which are positioned one above the other) to breathe comfortably. Constructed from robust 18mm poplar plywood covered with black Tolex, the cabinet maintains an acceptable weight of 24kg. With its sleek black exterior, matching front covering, and white decorative trim, the G212 Celestion V30 boasts an authentic look well worthy of display!

The compact size of the Harley G212 Vertical Celestion V30 makes it particularly suited to combo amplifiers already equipped with a 12" speaker. Make it loud!

Stages and rehearsal rooms are the preferred environments for the Harley Benton G212 Vertical Celestion V30. With its vertical design, it takes up less room than cabinets in the more well-known "landscape" format, especially in confined spaces. Whether paired with a powerful lunchbox amp like the Kemper, a compact amp head, or even a 1x12" combo, it will deliver sufficient volume to hold its own alongside a loud drummer. What is more, it looks much better than a horizontal-format cabinet placed on a chair! Careful attention must be paid to the impedance, however, especially with Boogie tube combos and similar models.

v30's voor een absurd lage prijs

Ik heb deze cabinet nu ongeveer een half jaar gecombineerd met een Orange CR120 en ik heb er eigenlijk niks op aan te merken.
Ik was eerst een beetje onzeker over de aankoop omdat vergelijkbare cabinets vaak 2 tot 3 keer duurder zijn maar uit eindelijk toch maar gedaan en ik ben er uitermate enthousiast over.

Speakers klinken zoals v30's horen te klinken.

Het tolex is wat aan de dunne kant maar is wel sterk (heb aardig wat optredens er mee gedaan en zitten nog geen beschadigingen op)

Erg handig als een tour/optreden cab door z'n lage gewicht en afmetingen zonder in te leveren op geluids kwaliteit.

Goed geluid, mindere afwerking.

Ik heb deze cab nu al een paar weken staan en over het algemeen ben ik er erg tevreden mee. Ik gebruik hem in combinatie met een Orange Micro Dark en er komt een geweldig geluid uit deze kast.

Een minpunt is echter dat de afwerking zeer tegenvalt. Met name de beschermende metalen kapjes op de hoeken zitten flink wat deuken in en er zitten een aantal scheurtjes in de kast zelf, vlak boven het afdekkende gaas voor de speakers. Het is wel duidelijk dat de kwaliteitscontrole meer focust op het geluid dan op de bouwkwaliteit van de kast zelf.

Ik ben nog steeds tevreden met deze jongen, maar het was wel fijn geweest als er iets beter naar de constructie was gekeken voordat hij uit de fabriek kwam.

Celestion, maar dan voor geen geld

Precies wat je verwacht 14.01.2021

Deze cab klinkt goed, precies wat je van een V30 verticale 212 verwacht. Op het geluid is dan ook echt niks aan te merken.
Verwacht alleen niet te veel van de afwerking. Het is geen oerdegelijke kast; het hout en de tolex is vrij dun en de speaker grill doet ook onstevig aan. Zo lang je hier rustig mee omgaat zal dit geen problemen veroorzaken.

Ik heb deze cab aan mijn Peavey 6505MH gekoppeld en ben zeer tevreden van het resultaat. De formfactor zorgt voor een grote mogelijkheid qua volume en projectie van geluid zonder al te veel plaats op de vloer in te nemen.

De cab is aangenaam zwaar en voelt stevig aan. Kan zeker wel een paar duwtjes verdragen.
