I decided to switch to tube amps at home and buy a lunchbox head and a 1x12 cabinet.

I spent a long time choosing a speaker — watched all the YouTube videos on the topic, and decided on the Creamback M.
I used to have 2x12 Greenback and 4x12 Vintage 30 cabinets.
The Creamback M in my opinion is the best of both worlds — it doesn't have than annoying upper midrange on hi-gain of the Greenback which I hate, and isn't as harsh as the V30.
At low apartment/bedroom volumes, it sounds good to me — full and even, quite a versatile speaker, good for both high-gain and clean tones.

Choosing the cabinet on the other hand didn't take long — the price was the main attraction 😀
Unlike major brands that charge more than half the price for the box itself than the cost of the speakers, this price for this cab is more than fair! And it’s not build out of crap - the quality is pretty decent.
If I were to do a DIY, buying materials at retail to build a cab would probably cost more.

It's Celestions in a cabinet that's made of wood, not mdf. Tolex seems fine. The price is unbeatable. What more can you ask for? Maybe some different looks to choose from..

Le bon remplaçant

Ayant changé de tête d'ampli, je cherchais un cab ouvert pour remplacer l'ancien VOX équipé d'un Greenback 25 W (cab ouvert également) qui ne supporte pas les 50 W de la nouvelle bête. Le Creamback 65 W conserve le même voicing que le Greenback (j'ai retrouvé immédiatement mon son sans retoucher mes réglages). Ce cab HB remplit parfaitement son rôle, pour un tarif très contenu. Encore un peu de rodage, et ça sera parfait.
Rien à dire sur la qualité de fabrication (pour l'instant). Mais question : ce cab est annoncé pour 14,9 kg dans le descriptif (et sur le carton d'emballage), alors que la balance annonce 10,5 kg. D'où vient la cure d'amaigrissement ?

Da dies meine erstes Cab ist, hab ich leider nicht die große Ahnung. Direkten Vergleich hatte ich nur zu Celestion Ten 30 im Marshall DSL5CR und zum Voice of the world im Orange Crush 35 RT. Das ist schon ein enormer Unterschied, obwohl der Creamback noch nicht eingespielt ist. Ich spiele bei normaler bis gehobener Zimmerlautstärke und er klingt schön voluminös ohne das irgendwelche unangenehmen Frequenzen herausstechen. Auf der Rückseite löst sich die Beklebung an einer der Außenwände. Daher ein Stern Abzug bei der Verarbeitung. Ansonsten ist das Cab echt empfehlenswert.
