Er is waarschijnlijk geen gitaar in onze wereld, die reeds is gespeeld door zo veel gitaristen, zoals de Fender Stratocaster. Er is ook amper een gitaar op de wereld zoveel aan te passen als deze, dus heeft Fender een hele range aan verschillende pick-ups in het programma.

De Fender Tex Mex word in Mexico geproduceerd en is vanwege de 3-piece set erg voordelig. Alleen al door zijn naam doet hij herinneren aan de Texas Special, en ook de Sound gaat duidelijk in die richting. Modern vintage sound

Fender offers a range of pickups and sets for sound modding - and not just for affordable guitar models. The Fender Tex-Mex PU set consists of three single coils designed for the bridge, middle, and neck positions. They are often considered to be a more affordable Mexican-made alternative to the Texas Specials from Fender's Custom Shop, with a sound that is almost identical, and that is why they are so popular with fans of a more modern take on the vintage sound of a Strat. As is customary for the classic Fender Stratocaster pickup configuration, these are passive pickups that do not require a battery power supply. Nevertheless, they deliver more output than classic vintage pickups or the pickup configurations of many more affordable guitars. The necessary accessories for installation are also included in the set.

Reverse-wound middle pickup

The pickups of the Fender Tex-Mex PU Set provide a warm, smooth sound thanks to their powerful AlNiCo-5 magnets, in addition to the thin layer of Polysol with which the wires are coated. Compared to real vintage pickups, they still deliver a very treble-rich response. There is no hum in positions two and four (where two pickups are active simultaneously) because the middle pickup is reverse-wound to provide a humbucking effect. All three single coils are on a par in terms of bass and mids, and the neck and middle pickups deliver a similarly warm basic sound to that of the bridge pickup. That being said, however, the latter delivers significantly more treble, which makes for a bright and richly-detailed picking sound, among other things. Additionally, the bridge pickup is overwound, which makes it louder than the other two in the set, and the output power of these three single coils is balanced somewhere between vintage pickups and "hot" modern ones.

For Texas Rock

Players who own a Squier Stratocaster or similar model and also like Blues-Rock, Texas Rock, or heavier Country styles should certainly take a closer look at the Fender Tex-Mex PU Set as a way to better achieve that sound. Thanks to its output power, the set is also ideal for those who don't want overly loud pickups. Smart spenders will also get their money's worth, as the Tex-Mex offers outstanding value for money. Thanks to the use of staggered pole pieces, the resonance of the strings is optimally balanced provided that the fingerboard has an appropriate curve - these types of staggered pickups are thus best used with caution on guitars with a more modern, relatively flat fingerboard radius: The flatter the curvature, the louder the D and G strings will be.

zeer goede pickups

Deze set aangeschaft samen met een slagplaat voor een van mijn gitaren, en toen ik ze er eenmaal ingezet heb zijn ze er ook niet meer uit gekomen. Heb deze nu bijna een jaar en ze zijn gewoon geweldig. Ik heb deze gekozen over de andere Fender pickups omdat ik deze gewoon heel erg mooi vind klinken, naar mijn idee is dit hoe alle Fenders moeten klinken. Daarnaast zitten ze in een stevig doosje met een duidelijk bedradingsschema er bij zodat je deze pickups makkelijk in je gitaar kan monteren. Ook is de snelle levering van Thomann super!

Tex Mex pick up set van Fender

Had nog een ouwe Stratocaster liggen,maar de p.u. daarin waren echt heel erg slecht.Was op zoek naar de "echte" Strat sound,en die heb ik met deze set zeker gevonden.Brug element is een lekker dik geluid,midden en top sprankelen,mooie tonen voor weinig geld.Had er nog over zitten denken er een single coil humbucker bij te zetten .Blij dat ik de set gewoon zo gelaten heb,is zijn geld meer dan waard,mijn Stratocaster heeft jaren niet meer lekker geklonken,dik dik tevreden met deze upgrade.

Ik heb deze pickups gekocht voor mijn zelfgebouwde Stratocaster. Flinke output, waardoor het mogelijk is lekker clean te spelen en als je dan een beetje harder aanslaat, wordt het net dat kleine beetje ruiger. Erg lekker geluid als je van blues houdt, typische SRV sound. Met heavy distortion wordt het allemaal een beetje modderig, maar daar zijn ze ook niet voor bedoeld. Ik ben er gewoon erg blij mee.

Lekker klinkende strat elemeten

Heb dit setje gekocht omdat ik ze in een roadworn strat hoorde die akoestisch vrijwel hetzelfde klonk als mijn geliefde strat. Iets rauwer dan de standaard elementen zonder echt schreeuwerig of te donker te worden. Klonk op een prettige manier wat ongepolijst.
Als je net dat beetje extra zoekt maar zeker niet 'overpowered', dan is dit het setje om te hebben.
