Embodme Erae 2

The Embodme Erae 2 is a combination controller and looper, based on a uniquely sensitive, multi‑touch playing surface that turns gestures, pressure, and movement directly into sound. The full-size, pressure‑responsive touch controller reacts to everything from the gentlest caress to drumstick rhythms, translating X/Y movements and percussive pressure in high resolution. Musicians can record loops across eight tracks, setting their length and quantisation on the fly, and layering in overdubs as desired. They can also fully customise the Erae 2's layout, creating personalised playzone setups made up of keyboards, grids, drum pads, faders, and buttons – where every gesture is replicated with immense precision, and colourful animations give visual cues to keep things intuitive. The Embodme Erae 2 can control hardware and software via USB‑C and TRS MIDI, and it also offers 24 configurable CV/gate outputs for modular rigs.

Thanks to its two USB‑C ports, the Embodme Erae 2 supports both host and device modes; this is complemented by two 3.5mm MIDI outputs and a 3.5mm MIDI input, so producers can effortlessly integrate their computers, hardware, and other controllers into any setup. The 24 freely configurable analogue outputs deliver CV, Gate or Trigger signals depending on the patch, meaning they can power modular systems, drum machines, or semi‑modular synths. When the Erae 2 is hooked up to a computer, it can control DAW instruments with uniquely expressive precision, while in an all‑hardware setup, sequencers, grooveboxes, or even a DJ mixer can be expanded with its highly responsive playing surface. From live looping and gesture‑driven soundscapes to recording clean melodies and tight drum tracks in the studio, it all comes together in the Erae 2's smooth, coherent workflow.
