About AKG
AKG was founded in Vienna, in 1947, by Dr. Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless. After only a few months, the first AKG microphones were already being used for the first time in radio stations and theatres. Front, front and back
For most of the typical forms of voice recording, such as podcasts, streams, or voice‑overs, the AKG Ara will be used with its directional front mode, which places the speaker's own voice in the foreground. The alternative – front‑back mode – captures signals from the front and rear of the microphone simultaneously, allowing, for example, two people sitting opposite each other to be recorded without an additional microphone.
