Great beginner or standard mouthpiece for baritone saxophone.

I bought this mouthpiece to use with my new Startone bari sax.

I ended up returning the saxophone and replacing it with the JBS1000, out of a higher price range. In both instances however, playability was very good with this mouthpiece. The sound is rich, the notes come with ease.

In conclusion, this is an ideal mouthpiece to get when ordering a baritone saxophone that doesn't come with a mouthpiece, comes with a questionable mouthpiece, or for people wanting a similar experience to other Yamaha mouthpieces they've played.

Damaged my regular piece and needed a replacement. The 5C does everything I need it to. Well finished. Clear tone. Easy articulation and precise intonation. It will whisper or shout. The only problem is finding a ligature to fit. The Selmer single screw does the job. Sorted.

This mouthpiece justifies its reputation as a well-made and well-functioning tool for the general purpose player and it does not require hard to find reeds.

J'utilise ce bec pour un baryton" Gautrot-Marquet sgdg Paris" des années 1860 que je viens de finir de restaurer. Utilisation pour l'instant domestique.
Clarinettiste à l'origine, j'ai eu moins de difficultés à en sortir du son correct que je n'aurais pensé. Les nuances sont faciles à tenir du double piano au double forte.
Niveau de fabrication, c'est du Yam, zéro soucis.
Pas assez de recul pour noter plus finement ce bec, en tout cas très facile à apprivoiser pour le piètre saxophoniste que je suis. Le tout après en avoir testé d'autres, je reste sur celui ci pour sa facilité de prise en bouche.
