Double bass, double fun

There are many arguments in favour of laminated or semi-solid upright basses, but the fun REALLY starts when the bass is made from solid woods. A fair assumption has always been that, if it is below a certain price point, a bass of this kind must have come from China - but as its name suggests, the Thomann 44 3/4 Europe Double Bass proves that this does not have to be true. This bass combines the classic ingredients in true purist tradition: Spruce, maple, and ebony. The version shown here comes in an appealing antique-look finish, and it is available at an astonishingly affordable price.

True to tradition

The Thomann 44 3/4 Europe Double Bass is constructed in the popular and widely-used 3/4 size and has a scale length of 105cm, which is slightly longer than usual and gives a little more openness to the low notes. It features a solid spruce top, while the back and sides are made from solid maple and the fingerboard from ebony. The headstock is adorned with two pairs of Tyrolean-style machine heads to ensure reliable tuning, and the bass comes strung with a set of Classic Line strings as standard. A setup at Thomann's stringed instrument workshop can also be carried out upon request.

Contrabas bestellen.

Ik was wat huiverig een contrabas online bestellen maar het viel reuze mee.Eerst advies gevraagd welke bas.strijkstok en hars.
Een dag later al bericht.De bestelling is heel goed over gekomen
en de bas was perfect verpakt.De bas wordt gebruikt voor een
harmonie orkest.

We want (Double) Bass!

Beim meinem letzten Besuch in Treppendorf habe ich mir endlich mein Traum vom Kontrabass erfüllt. Der kompetente und freundliche Mitarbeiter hat mir einiges dazu gezeigt, verschiedene Bässe angespielt und auch beim Zubehör gut beraten - vielen Dank dafür! Dieser Bass war für meine Zwecke (Zupfen - Jazz, Pop) schon perfekt eingestellt. Er hat einen tollen Klang und schaut sexy aus - ich bin echt begeistert und finde das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sagenhaft - schaut Euch mal an was E-Bässe und Gitarren teilweise kosten - und das sind nur Bretter mit Elektronik. Ich habe dann noch selbst einen Tonabnehmer eingebaut und so kommt er mit auf die nächste Bandprobe. Can you dig it?

Sehr schöner Bass und klingt gut.

Wollte zunächst einen anderen Bass kaufen. Habe mich von der Thomann Streicherabteilung beraten lassen. So kam es zu diesem Bass. Alles versprochene wurde eingehalten. Der Klang hat meine Erwartung übertroffen. Der klingt für mich klar und voll. Die Verarbeitung find ich sehr gut, sehr schöner Lack. Sehr schön anzuschauen das ich mir überlege im Wohnzimmer auszustellen. Kann jedem Empfehlen sich von Thomann beraten zu lassen, denn mit deren Erfahrung kann jedem für jedes Budget das beste angeboten werden. So war das bei mir jedenfalls.
