As a beginner I am very happy with it!

I used to have this cheap Zelda ocarina but it sounded horrible so I wanted to get a better one without spending too much. I read this one was good for beginners, and it indeed has a good price/quality balance! It is very pretty and the tones sound clear. You do have to blow hard to reach the highest note. I also expected its range to be a bit broader, but that's on me for not doing proper research haha.

My first ocarina and I m in love !!

Its my first ocarina !! Loved it , i think it sounds very beautifull! And the more i play the more my sound gets better !!
The only think as a con is that it comes with a book with some songs but in the songs shows some notes with an extra hole that this ocarina doesn't have and in general isn't very helpfull .
My next goal is to play with it on the top of the mountain Olympus wich isn't far from my home !

Especially the lower octave has a very pleasant warm sound, that is easy to keep in internally consistent tune even for a beginner. The breath pressure on the first two notes is very low though; consistently playing the low A in standard tuning takes very fine breath control. Same with the high DEF, though for the opposite reason: the breath curve tilts up quite a bit after the first octave. It either takes quite a bit of practice, or some advanced appreciation for microtonality.

Overall, this makes my plastic ocarina feel like a toy. It sounds way better than I expected for the price.
