The GM 55 features a moving coil capsule with a frequency range of 40Hz to 17kHz, closely replicating the sound of its classic inspiration, while the housing design with boosts at 5.5, 7, and 10kHz enhances its vintage character. Its supercardioid polar pattern reduces sound from behind and minimises side noise, allowing for clear sound capture, and with a field transmission factor of 2.4 mV/Pa, the GM 55 produces a strong output that can clearly pick up even quieter voices on stage. A swivel joint connects the capsule to the neck for easy alignment with the vocalist, and the on/off switch sits on the neck, while the base houses a 5/8" stand mount and XLR socket for seamless integration.

Aardige mic

Ik heb deze mic getest naast een sure sm57, een shure 565sd en de q6 en q7 van samson. Ben hobby muzikant, koop niet altijd spullen met gegarandeerde wereldklasse, een mix van allerlei merken. Ik beoordeel wellicht anders dan een prof of geluidstechnicus, maar mijn oren en de gebruikte hardware liegen niet. Ik heb getest voor zang en trompetspel met bij alle testen exact dezelfde afstand tot de mics, gain- en tooninstelling.
Het geluid van deze mic is ietsje blikkeriger dan van de andere mics. Hij pakt iets meer ongefilterd op lijkt het. Dat kan voor opnamen en performance goed worden gecompenseerd/genuanceerd via de mixer. Ik hoorde via de koptelefoon geen verschil in ruis tussen de mics. Het viel me overigens op dat de samson en shures voor mij geen hoorbaar verschil opleverden. Beiden rond, vol geluid. De t.bone is ook iets gevoeliger voor rondzingen, bij bandopstelling is het goed hiermee rekening te houden. De hardware is degelijk. De kabelingang zit dicht op de schroefdraad, voor sommige statieven kan dat een probleem opleveren.
Overall een goede microfoon die er goed uitziet, zonder uitspraak over de levensduur.

Knappe en sterke microfoon!

Ik heb deze microfoon gekocht, en mijn verwachtingen waren om eerlijk te zijn niet erg hoog. Gelukkig doe ik de backing vocals, dus maakte dit niet veel uit. Nu heeft mijn lead vocalist mijn microfoon gejat, omdat hij er zo tevreden over was! Hij is talloze keren gevallen tijdens een show, maar er zit geen krasje op. Ook is het geluid mooi en helder.

Fun mic!

Bought it just for fun as a cool talkback mic. So far it broke the ice for a lot of people in the studio. This is a microphone anyone will notice. The on/off switch is really useful as a talkback mic if you don't have a talkback button somewhere. Recorded some of my vocals with it but it did not gave me goosebumps or anything. I bet with a lot of processing you could get a decent sound out of any microphone. Build quality is kinda plastic but that cancels out because of the cool factor.

Fraaie Elvis -mic voor een laag budget. Pakt de zang goed op, voelt stevig aan.
Microfoon wordt geleverd in plastic koffertje en zit stevig in padding waardoor hij onderweg niet snel zal beschadigen.
Er zit een klein statiefje bij voorals je hem op een tafel wilt gebruiken.
Ik heb 'm nu een paar keer op het podium gebruikt, het is een echte eye catcher.
