The UniTune Clip has been designed to be a reliable partner for guitarists and bassists in any situation – whether they are quickly checking their tuning on stage or making sure everything is perfectly in tune before a recording – and offers two different tuning modes: Conventional chromatic tuning and high-precision “strobe” tuning, which offers an impressive accuracy level of ±0.02 cent.

Tuning with high precision

Basic electronic guitar tuners only allow the open strings to be tuned individually to standard tuning (E, A, D, G, B, and E). The UniTune Clip, on the other hand, is a chromatic tuner, which means it recognises each note and allows each string to be tuned accordingly. It can also be attached in any orientation, and the display automatically rotates so that it is always the right way up. The tuner’s highly responsive piezo sensor rapidly analyses the pitch of the note being played, and the display indicates how much tuning adjustment is required. Unlike its bigger brother the PolyTune, the UniTune only displays the pitch of one string at a time, but since players usually only turn one machine head at a time anyway, they can still enjoy the same precision at a lower price.

The Danish company TC Electronic has been known for its innovative products for many years. It was founded in 1976 by brothers Kim and John Rishøj in Aarhus. Fabulous tracking and build like a tank

I use this tuner for my DADGAD guitar and my electric 5-string violin. On both instruments (not the easiest ones for a tuner) note tracking is instantanious.Very pleased with it
Only downside is that there is no funtion indication on the 2 config buttons => 1 star less for handling

Scherm vind ik wel wat gevoelig voor schade. Leds zijn wel helder en ik kan de reference pitch aanpassen, wat ik graag wilde. Ook de strobe functie werkt goed. Je moet hem niet zomaar in een tas met veel dingen gooien gok ik, omdat hij dan kapot gaat. Goed zuinig mee zijn dus. Batterij was snel leeg die erbij zat, deze heb ik nu na 2 maand al vervangen (vind ik snel). Als dat het enige is dan ben ik tevreden :)

EIgenlijk gebruik in niets anders meer

Ik ben een fan van de Tuners van TC. Ik had al de witte variant en wilde graag een back-up hebben. Deze zwarte is dat niet meer 'poly', maar dat was toch een feature die ik eigenlijk nauwelijks gebruikte.
Ik gebruik ze voornamelijk op mijn akoestische gitaren en mandoline en vind ze niet alleen super eenvoudig in gebruik, maar ook goed zuiver.
Ik vind dat iedere gitarist eerst moet investeren in een goede tuner, alvorens na te denken over andere pedalen en effecten.

Goede tuner, doet wat hij moet doen. Fijner dan de conventionele stemapparaten, moet je wel even aan wennen. Er zat een klein krasje op het scherm bij mij, maar terugsturen is meer moeite dan dat het waard is.
