High-performance Big Par

The Stairville Big Par 24x12 HEX RGBAW/UV BL LED spotlight delivers impressive brightness, making it well suited to large-scale productions while also offering plenty of creative potential through its extensive colour palette, warm amber tones, and dynamic strobe effects. All of this LED power is housed within a substantial matte black Par can, larger than a Par64 and combining a robust design with considerable versatility; it's also available in a silver finish. Its double bracket allows for flexible positioning, whether placed on the floor as an uplight or suspended from a rig, so it adapts easily to a wide range of lighting setups. Despite its powerful output, it is equally capable of producing subtle and refined lighting effects when required, giving users access to a wide variety of lighting moods quickly and easily, regardless of their experience with professional lighting.

Professional set up

Equipped with 24 x 12W LEDs, the fixture allows colour mixing across red, green, blue, amber and white, while also incorporating UV light for additional creative possibilities. Its fan-cooled design has a maximum power consumption of 260W, delivering strong colour intensity through a dispersion angle of 35°, with all of this output contained within a sturdy 320x530x320mm metal housing. Control is handled either directly through the display and menu buttons or via optional DMX operation with six, eight or ten channels, providing flexibility for a wide range of setups. Alongside static colours, the Big Par 24x12 offers auto programmes, a master-slave mode and music-controlled operation, with the latter making it a suitable standalone device for long nights at the club.

About Stairville

Since it was introduced in 1994, Thomann's in-house brand Stairville has been a permanent fixture in the store's product range. The brand primarily focuses on the field of stage lighting in general, and its products include spotlights, moving lights, and theatre lighting as well as smoke machines, electronic control systems, and every other accessory you can think of. Thomann constantly has around 1,600 Stairville products on offer, and the figures speak for themselves: Statistically, one in every fifteen Thomann customers owns at least one Stairville product. Incidentally, the name "Stairville" is also a catchy English translation of "Treppendorf", the town that Thomann calls home.

Take control

For access to the full colour palette and the widest range of functions, connecting the fixture to a DMX console provides the greatest level of control. The Stairville PDC 3CC DMX Cable (10.0m, 3-pin) is a suitable option for this purpose, matching the spotlight's 3-pin DMX input; the cables are available in a variety of other lengths. Using ten DMX channels, it becomes possible to access not only the primary colours but also 31 colour macros, strobe effects, fade programmes, variable-speed chasers and music-controlled functions, greatly expanding the Big Par's creative potential. Additional units can be linked in master-slave mode and assigned the same start address, allowing multiple fixtures to operate in perfect synchronisation while requiring only ten control channels. For dependable DMX communication across the entire setup, the chain is best completed with a terminating resistor such as the Stairville DMX End Plug XLR 3-pin.
