Reliable and user-friendly operation

Operating within the license-free ISM frequency band (863 - 865MHz), the Sennheiser HDE 2020-D-II is simple to set up and dependable for continuous use. Weighing just 75g (including the battery), it offers all-day comfort, even during long sessions. The receiver's six switchable channels provide flexibility for various group settings, from museum tours to assistive listening applications. For larger systems, up to 20 receivers can be conveniently stored and charged simultaneously in the dedicated Sennheiser EZL 2020-20L charging case, ensuring quick transitions between sessions. Power-saving features, including automatic shut-off when the receiver is removed or when the transmitter is inactive, extend battery life and enhance operational efficiency.

Beyond tours: Adaptable applications

While designed with tour guides and interpreters in mind, the HDE 2020-D-II excels in diverse environments, including theatres, conference venues, and outdoor events. Compatible with Sennheiser transmitters like the SKM 2020-D handheld microphone and the SK 2020-D bodypack, it seamlessly integrates into various setups. Synchronising receiver channels is quick and effortless, even while units are charging, and the stethoset automatically powers on when worn, allowing immediate use without extra adjustments. With a reliable transmission range of 100 metres outdoors and 50 metres indoors, the Sennheiser HDE 2020-D-II performs consistently, even in the most demanding conditions, including underground settings. For extended stationary coverage, frequency presets can be modified using a professional antenna management system. And for those who prefer a more traditional setup, the EK 2020-D-II bodypack works with regular headphones, such as the Sennheiser HP 02-100.

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the classic MD 441 microphone, hugely enhanced the company's international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

Clear communication, anywhere

The Sennheiser Tourguide 2020-D system transforms wireless audio communication by combining exceptional audio clarity with a compact and efficient design. Whether guiding groups through bustling city landmarks, delivering multilingual translations at global conferences, or enhancing accessibility in theatres, this system ensures professional-grade performance. Its durable construction will withstand frequent use and transportation, while its intuitive setup accommodates even the most complex scenarios. With the HDE 2020-D-II, Sennheiser continues its tradition of delivering reliable, high-quality audio solutions that inspire connection and engagement in any environment.
