The RockBoard LED Light V2 features a practical L-shaped design with 16 powerful LEDs. Depending on the situation, the V2 offers a selection of four brightness levels and six colours: White, red, green, blue, yellow, and pink. The light can be powered either by an optional 9-volt power supply or with an existing power supply unit on the pedalboard. With a low power consumption of less than 100mA, it ensures wide compatibility, and the integrated lockable mounting clamp enables the LED Light V2 to be securely mounted on the side of the user's RockBoard pedalboard.

Slechte kwaliteit en veel brom

Ik raad af om deze verlichting te kopen. Het idee is leuk, maar de uitvoering kwalitatief erg slecht. De draadjes zitten niet goed vast en moeten bij het in- en uitklappen "glijden" door de aansluiting. Dat gaat erg stroef. Bij de derde keer ging de soldering, de enige manier waarop de draadjes vastzitten, al los. Eens kijken of ik ze weer kan solderen, maar dat is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling. Beter was geweest als de draad gewoon goed vast had gezeten.
De verlichting stoort enorm en geeft een heel erge brom op het gitaarsignaal. Eigenlijk niet normaal te gebruiken, wellicht werkt het wel met een dure, geïsoleerde voeding. Bij mij was de brom iets minder bij blauw en groen licht.

Ok, but could be better

Bought these lights in early 2023, been using them for over 2 years. I've tried 4 of them for my Rockboard 4.2 (one arrived without the clear plastic and buttons over the light, Thomann fixed the issue immediately, excellent customer service).
Thing to note: all 4 of them were tight on the left side - the light stays put where it's set, and very loose on the right side - the light just falls down if it's not put straight up. At least it doesn't fall towards you on the board, there's a stopper for that. So I reckon that it has got to be a design problem, not a quality control problem. I switched both the lights, and their mounts around, and tried all 4 mounts on left and right side too and took a lot of time to test it out.
Another thing is that sliding them into traveling position isn't always easy and it may take some force as the light's power cable doesn't slide smoothly.
Otherwise they're a good product, still exactly the same as the day I got them. 4 different light intensity levels, 6 different colors. They're on my Rockboard 4.2 and that board goes in and gets out of the gigbag with lights attached just fine. Be sure to put the lights facing up when putting the board to its gigbag. As I play a lot in the dark these are invaluable, and if lost or broken, I would buy again despite the issues.

Effective... but... not so much in combination with CIOKS powersupply

The idea of a LED light on my pedalboard is really nice, especially the V2.
BUT, the connector doesn't fit my CIOKS powersupply, I didn't think about it. There is a connector.. it would have been nice to put this in de description of de LED light.. Too bad.

I've had the v1 for a few years now and not a single complaint, the v2 on the other hand feels real flimsy has a big print on top and to my surprise, the colors are not matching, they're slightly different under the same settings (running a pair).

Get the v1.
