High fidelity - guaranteed

The PSI Audio A21-M is a premium studio monitor designed for nearfield and midfield use in professional studio environments. A standout feature is its sophisticated analogue circuitry, developed in-house, which gives this active two-way speaker exceptional fidelity and precision. Another distinctive aspect is the unconventional choice of amplification: Each frequency band is powered by a Class G/H amplifier. Compared to traditional Class A/B designs, this approach offers advantages in power efficiency and distortion reduction. Rounding off the package are a handcrafted tweeter and a CNC-milled waveguide integrated directly into the cabinet.

100% analogue circuitry...

The Adaptive Output Impedance system (AOI) continuously monitors diaphragm and voice coil movement, dynamically adjusting the output impedance of both amplifiers in response to the active frequency. This minimises colouration and delivers outstanding transient response with high impulse accuracy. The Compensated Phase Response System (CPR) ensures consistent group delay and corrects phase discrepancies across defined frequency ranges using all-pass filters. The result is a precise stereo image with excellent localisation and a vivid, three-dimensional soundstage.

...and absolutely no DSP

The PSI Audio A21-M is proof positive that professional studio monitors don't necessarily require digital signal processing to deliver outstanding sonic performance. By combining advanced analogue technologies with high-quality drivers, the A21-M achieves an almost perfectly linear frequency response across the entire spectrum. Its compact footprint makes it especially well-suited to small control rooms and nearfield setups, while its impressive maximum sound pressure level of 121dB SPL also means it can be used in medium-sized environments and at greater listening distances.

About PSI Audio

PSI Audio, a brand under Relec SA, is based in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. The company was originally founded in 1977 by Alain Roux as Roux Electroacoustique, specialising in Hi-Fi speaker development. In 1988, the company was restructured as Relec SA, expanding into PA and studio markets while producing both proprietary models and OEM products for renowned brands like Studer (1992–2003). The PSI Audio brand launched in 2004, offering premium studio monitors for professional users. These products are known for their fully analogue circuit designs and meticulous Swiss craftsmanship, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability for audio professionals.

Pairs well with the A125-M

The PSI Audio A21-M studio monitor is suitable for working on audio in fields like music production, post-production, and broadcasting. Its excellent sonic characteristics, with high-precision transient response and stereo imaging, reveal even the smallest details that may be hiding in a recording. This all makes it easy for producers to make confident decisions both on the creative and on the corrective front. For a complete 2.1 setup with extended low-end response, it would be best to combine a pair of A21s with PSI Audio's A125-M subwoofer. Because each device is perfectly configured to complement the other, this setup creates a cohesive unit with an exceptionally linear overall frequency response.
