als je een gitaar zoekt met een floyd rose bridge, dan raad ik deze zeker aan

hij is heel fijn om te spelen
ook zijn de hoge frets heel makkelijk te bereiken.

ik raad deze zeker aan voor metal gitaristen

Amazing guitar, but...
Tosco 19.08.2024
The guitar is great, especially for the price, but there’s is a catch with Floyd Rose. It holds tune well and lets you do some solid vibrato, but when you’re playing more crazy stuff like Pantera or Van Halen, the Floyd might not hold up over time. It’s not a deal-breaker for most players, but if your style includes frequent dive bombs and aggressive bends, the tremolo could start to wear out faster than you'd like. So, if that’s the kind of music you're into, you might want to consider swapping the tremolo for something more durable to avoid constant repairs.

Honeymoon period with this guitar is over, some issues, nothing major
Someone in Finland 06.10.2021
I would say this is pretty good when you start playing, but after a while, I could feel some things start to deteriorate.

To start, after setting it up, it can hold a guitar in tune for a fair amount of time, though any crazy whammy stuff can throw it out of tune. It could be that I am not that great at setting it up yet, or the hardware has started to go through some wear.

It still sounds great, though if your playing style includes a lot of whammy bar stuff, invest in a guitar with a better bridge.

Not bad not good

UPDATE
So I had this guitar upgraded with all Gotoh hardware, MEC electronics and such. The neck and body are good. It actually has the lowest action I ever could get from a stock guitar apart from a custom shop Esp I had years ago. I sold this King V in order to get a USA neck for a stratocaster project I was building. However I'd grown so attached to it after the upgrades that I regretted selling it. So instead of buying the strat neck I've bought another King V and more parts. This one even has a nicer feeling neck finish. This one I'll go all out with the hard case, EMGs, and Gotoh hardware. I swear if Jackson would sell these for 8-900 euro with the Gotoh hardware stock they would be an amazing working guitar.

I wanted a pointy guitar with a FR and didn't want to spend much. I've seen a lot of really positive reviews on YouTube and people raving about how great the necks are on the JS series now.

I'm used to playing Esp and Ibanez guitars from Korea and Japan. You can definitely feel that this is a much cheaper guitar. The parts are a lower quality and everything is just not as well polished. However, it's a functional guitar and with some work on the setup and intonation it can play very well regardless of the lower quality feeling. I've swapped the tremolo with a Gotoh 1996 and that's been a massive improvement in sound and tremolo function. Replacing the nut with a Schaller also helped a lot. The tuners are next to be replaced as the stock Chinese tuners are such a pain to use and do not hold tuning very well. The pickups sound nice if you back them down away from the strings a bit.

The neck is strange to me. I was expecting it to be thinner after all the reviews calling it a speed neck and thin shredding profile. This one is thicker and wider feeling. It definitely forces me to keep my thumb on the back of the neck now instead of thumb over like I usually play.

Overall I'm happy with it. It's not garbage but it's nothing fancy either. It's a decent platform for modification.
