I really love this bass. Perfect neck, good frets, decent pickup, tuners etc. I wanted a passive 4 string bass for regular and higher gain music. It's perfect for that. Amazing value!
But... But... But...
Out of the box it needed setup, more than most beginners can or want to do.
Pickup height could not be adjusted because the screws were screwed in way too crooked. I had this problem with more new Harley Bentons. So I removed the screwes, filled and glued the holes with wooden pins and drilled new and straight holes. Now the pickup height is adjustable, as it should be. The top nut was too high, resulting in difficulty playing the lower notes and bending them sharp. I filed out the slots in the nut. After adjusting the relief, string height and intonation it now is perfect. Amazing what you can get for 129€ after set up. As with more HB's I had it needs some work done before it get's really good. This now is my main 4 string bass for Rock/Metal/Slap. Oh, the neck is big, not a JB, more a PB. I love this neck, and bass.
