Amazing guitar for the price
Finally settled on the third guitar I tried!
Just beware that the bridge is actually quite flat and doesn't match up the radius of the fretboard! This might be historically correct but I ended up replacing the bridge to get a proper action set up!
I´d like to give some additional information for those who´re looking to purchase the guitar!
- The fretboard is actually quite thin! Measuring 41 mm at the nut, and 55 mm at the last fret! The neck shape comes close to a 60s les paul neck shape! So it's a different feeling neck than the other Harley Benton SC-450 and SC-550's out there.
- The guitars weighs about 3.7 - 3.9 kg.
- The tuners feel suprisingly decent!
- Frets have been levelled and need a bit of polishing
- The Roswell pick ups have an output of about 8.4K. Split about 4.2K

Zoek je een goedkoper hollow-body model die goed klinkt. Kijk niet verder, deze gitaar klinkt goed! Prijs kwaliteit is mooi in balans. Het enige nadeel is dat de nek wat stroef speelt, maar verder een prima instrument.

Fantastic guitar for just under 250 EUR
Always loved the looks of a semi-hollow guitar like the 335 but the originals are quite expensive.
So after I found this HB-35+ on Thomann, I've read alot of reviews and watched alot of video's about this guitar. In short, I almost couldn't do wrong on this purchase. And after having this guitar for a couple of weeks now, I can fully agree: You cannot do wrong on this guitar.
It looks great, I love the Cherry Red color. The flamed top is no AAAA in my opinion (at least compared to my Ibanez AR-420), but still looks good enough.
The controls feel solid, and the coil split is a nice extra option on a guitar like this.
The tuners seem okay, although I did replace them during the first setup (as I prefer locking tuners) so I can't really judge those.
The finishing does require a personal touch, but for this price you can't expect to have a perfect instrument right out of the box.
For example, I had to polish the frets, clean some (I think) leftover glue from the fretboard and oil it, and remove some residue here and there.
After cleaning and setting this thing up to my liking, my other guitars have been collecting dust. Says it all. Get one if you're still in doubt!
