Gut-A-Like Slappers Delight Bass Strings

So I bought an electric double bass to take up the bass playing again. Rather than wanting to play the metal strings, I decided to go for different strings. Rotosound can be overrated at times and also highly expensive. So I bought these strings instead.

The sound reminds me of the oldschool slap sound of Frenzy (Hall of Mirrors record) and immediately fell in love. It also is very light and I can basically play Nekromantix without much effort and still have a good slap as well as sound coming from the strings.

Perhaps the only downside is that the E string is very deep, but that has its charms as well when plucking along with Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Anyway, this seriously is the best investment I have made. Cheers!
