Genelec 8330 RAW

The Genelec 8330A RAW is an active two-way studio monitor that delivers the first-class sound producers the world over have come to expect from the Finnish manufacturer. With its housing produced from raw die-cast aluminium, this model features two separate amplifiers with a total output of 100W, driving the 5" woofer and 3/4" tweeter to deliver sound pressure levels of up to 110dB SPL per stereo pair. In addition to its automatic start function, this speaker features integrated SAM technology, which allows multiple Genelec monitors to be optimised using software, a computer interface, and a measurement microphone. A balanced XLR input allows signals to be fed in without interference, while a protective circuit prevents driver damage by intercepting short-term level peaks. Magnetic shielding is also included as standard.

Whether in a professional studio, home setup, or editing suite, the Genelec 8330 RAW delivers outstanding results thanks to its flat frequency response and automatic room-adaptation features. It can be used not only as part of a stereo set, but also as a component in a surround setup. Genelec also offers a suitable subwoofer for this purpose – the Genelec 7350APM (article no. 355052). When used on resonant surfaces such as a desk or stand, the integrated IsoPod comes into play, decoupling the speaker from its support surface using a combination of rubber feet and connecting bars.
