Perfect for use on the go
The Fender Quantum LT 2 is the most compact USB audio interface in the LT series, designed for spontaneous recording without the need for extensive studio setup or complicated preparation. Its MAX-HD microphone preamp provides up to 75dB of gain, giving it enough headroom to accommodate a wide range of microphones, including those requiring 48V phantom power, without the need for an additional preamp or booster. Combined with optimised drivers and clean converters, the interface is designed to keep latency to a minimum while maintaining a straightforward recording workflow. The hardware in the series also marks the first new models introduced since Fender acquired PreSonus, alongside the former PreSonus Studio One DAW, which is now known as Fender Studio Pro.
Dynamic, natural, present
The 2 x 2 USB audio interface features a USB-C connection, USB 2.0, balanced TRS outputs, and a dedicated headphone output for flexible monitoring. Its combo input is optimised for guitar, bass, and other instruments, while additional line inputs allow external equipment to be connected. A loopback function also simplifies streaming and content creation, including podcast production. For mixing or working without a computer, the dedicated standalone Mixer Mode turns the Fender Quantum LT 2 into a compact analogue-style mixer, while the interface offers a 20Hz–20kHz frequency response, 116dB dynamic range, and conversion at up to 24-bit/192kHz, with THD+N as low as 0.001% and a maximum input level of +14dBu.
The perfect introduction
The Fender Quantum LT 2 is a compact and thoughtfully designed recording solution that provides an affordable entry point into home recording while also lending itself to spontaneous mobile sessions. It combines solid recording performance with a straightforward workflow, while the MAX-HD microphone preamp provides sufficient gain for demanding microphones, including ribbon mics, without requiring a separate preamp. Integration with Universal Control and Fender Studio Pro adds further flexibility, particularly through the ability to control mix settings remotely. In Standalone Mixer Mode, the interface can also function as a self-contained analogue mixer for applications ranging from live performances and teaching to rehearsals and mobile setups, with bus power helping to keep cabling to a minimum.
About Fender
Fender is without doubt one of the most legendary guitar and amplifier manufacturers of all time. The company was founded in 1946 by its namesake Leo Fender († 1991), whose innovative ideas brought a breath of fresh air into the musical world. His Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass are not only classics – they also continue to shape the styles of musicians in countless genres to this day. Timeless Fender amplifier models such as the Bassman, Twin, Deluxe, and Princeton also enjoy a stellar reputation. Besides maintaining its classic product portfolio, however, the company is also constantly developing new products that make Fender a driving force in today's music industry.
Designed to meet individual requirements
The Fender Quantum LT 2 is part of a broader range of audio interfaces from which users can choose a model that matches their individual requirements and existing setup. Alongside the compact LT 2 with two inputs and two outputs, the series includes the Fender Quantum LT 4 with four inputs and two outputs, as well as the flagship Fender Quantum LT 16 with 16 inputs and eight outputs. The larger model is also designed for 19" rack mounting, making it particularly suitable for more extensive studio installations. Unlike the two smaller models, the LT 16 additionally features both a MIDI input and output for connecting external hardware.
In the spotlight
Fender Studio Pro
The Fender Quantum LT 2 is controlled via Fender Studio Pro, the company's all-in-one music production software. Essentially an updated version of PreSonus Studio One Pro, it retains the core technology of its predecessor while introducing a revised interface and a range of new features. These include a more streamlined workflow, new overview functions, and AI-powered audio-to-MIDI capabilities, while effects from Mustang Native and Rumble Native further expand the available sonic palette. Existing content, plugins, and Studio One Pro projects remain compatible, allowing users to carry their previous work into the updated environment, and the LT 2 includes a six-month trial of the software.
