FL Studio has all it takes, and lifetime free updates, and sometimes they add a new plugin in, and very good support for your old 32bit vst plugins, what more can you ask.
If you are coming for example from Cubase then it is hell to adjust, it was for me. The majority of the DAWS work very logical. This needs your adjustment, it is very unlogical. Right click deletes stuff, you need to get used to the Rack and to the mixer. FL works with patterns, but you can work in song mode, but even then if create something and copy it and want to change something then it changes it in all the parts on that line, you have to make each unique. So that's really cumbersome working. The mixer is as unprofessional as it can, which needs to get used too. I often was so angry that I almost hit my display, so unlogical it is to me. I'm slowly getting used to these unlogical things. And that's mainly because I was used to Cubase, Cakewalk and Tracktion which do have a logical workflow.
So think of FL patterns a bit like Ableton where you can create clips, but then without the logic Ableton has. Must be a Belgian thing I guess ;)
But it comes packed with great VST synth with very good sounds, so overall a good DAW and best to adjust too when you have no knowledge of other DAWs.
