Great pedal for volume swells
Kricc 22.08.2025
All you need is this and a tuner. Great for imitating pedal steel on guitar. The smaller size makes it easy to throw in most bags but still big enough for my foot, plus it makes a decent amp wedge.

Perfect size compromise
John mercy 18.01.2024
This is a rugged and well built, capable of withstanding some abuse. I wanted a Dunlop DVP 3 but alas that would occupy a lot of space in my pedalboard, so this is the perfect size for that. Ideally I'd even use the Dunlop DVP 4, but that one is just too small for my size of shoe (44) and hard to control like that - plus I was hitting the other pedals next to the SVP4. This DVP 5 solves that and is perfect because allows to save quite some space while keeping as versatile as the DVP3

Myths have to be debunked...
Prosector 30.10.2025
Bought two Dunlop DVP5 pedals for using as expression pedals in my brand new Quad Cortex. Before I was a proud owner of Helix LT + Mission EP1-L6, but decided to go for something not that heavy in weight. For some reason Mission EP1 (TRS version) is now impossible to buy in Europe (out of stock everywhere), so I decided to try this one instead. I even ordered two of them, because I initially planned to have one for home and another one for rehearsal / gig usage. After unpacking it I felt that smell other reviewers were talking about. It's not that pleasant, but not that strong either, but your wife will for sure smell it in the room. The pedal is really lite, just around 700 grams, so I decided I will have just one pedal to carry around, and sent another one back. Now about the myths that surround this pedal in the Internet assuming it's the best buy: I'd say they're worth to be debunked. Someone's saying it's a tank quality. I'd not say so, there are some plastic moving parts inside, and they look like they could break in a couple of years. And no, you currently can't find spare parts in Europe, you need to order them directly from US. There is a squeaky noise after using it for some hours after purchase, so I recommend oiling the moving parts, it helps immediately. In comparison, Mission pedals don't have any rotating noise even after years of gigging. People are saying, there's no dead zone? But sorry, there is a dead zone like in any cheap expression pedal. Mission dead zone is much smaller (but probably due to smaller moving angle?). Another thing that I didn't like is its moving radius, which is too wide, so it could be hard to use it on an angled pedalboard. In any case, that's one of the best offerings currently on the market in terms of weight / price / availability ratio. It's usable, low-weight and should survive a couple of years of intensive usage. Still, I'd recommend going for Mission Engineering where feel, quality and smell is really close to a good old Cry Baby.
