The Audix D2 is a dynamic microphone with a hypercardioid pickup pattern, developed primarily with rack toms in mind. Like the rest of the D series, it's built in the Audix facility in Oregon. Its strongly tailored frequency response delivers an effective drum sound with minimal corrective EQ work, while the VLM diaphragm keeps transient response natural and well defined.
