Antelope's flagship interface

The Antelope Galaxy 64 Synergy Core, a sleek 2U Thunderbolt 3 rack-mountable interface, stands as the centrepiece of high-performance audio setups. It features 64 analogue input and output channels via D-Sub 25, four HDX ports for Pro Tools HD/HDX, Dante audio over IP, MADI, S/PDIF, AES/EBU and two Thunderbolt ports. Antelope's 64-bit AF clocking technology and mastering-grade converters (with 130dB headroom) offer 64 channels of pristine AD/DA conversion without any colouration or signal-deterioration. The intuitive touch-screen control panel and extensive word-clock connectivity, including Antelope's own "10M" Atomic Clock input, streamlines workflow while optimising the studio as a whole. Remote control via USB-C and standalone operation are also possible. Finally, a whopping 12 DSPs and two FPGA chips power up to 256 instances of top-tier Synergy Core effects, but more about that further below!

Pro Tools HDX and Dante integration

The Antelope Galaxy 64 Synergy Core boasts four HDX ports, enabling 128 simultaneous channels at 192kHz split across two Pro Tools HDX systems, configurable as primary and backup for added reliability. Its Dante compatibility facilitates audio transmission over IP networks, supporting 64 channels via its primary RJ-45 port, with a secondary port as backup. Additionally, the Antelope Galaxy 64 Synergy Core features two MADI optical ports (for 64 channels at 24-bit/48kHz) and two Thunderbolt 3 ports (handling 64 channels at 24-bit/192kHz and native DAW applications). The interface also includes two channels each of AES/EBU and coaxial S/PDIF. Impressively, all these ports and channels, including the 64 analogue channels, can be used simultaneously, ensuring remarkable adaptability to diverse workflows, studio setups, and DAW environments.

About Antelope Audio

Antelope Audio is a manufacturer of professional audio equipment that was founded by developer Igor Levin, who invented the famous AardSync clock generator with which his then-company Aardvark made waves in the world of audio engineering at the end of the 20th century. In 2005, Igor Levin went – as he himself put it – back to his roots and continued to develop the AardSync concept. The result of this development work was the “Oven Clock”, a word clock generator that is kept at a constant temperature of 64.5°C to provide increased stability and improve jitter performance. The newly founded Antelope Audio caused a similar splash in 2005 with its OCX Clock Generator. Today, Antelope Audio, which is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality audio interfaces and AD/DA converters and includes big names such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, and the Wu-Tang Clan among its users.

Virtual patchbay for flexible routing

The Antelope Galaxy 64 Synergy Core’s virtual patchbay offers remarkable routing flexibility. Its software control panel's drag-and-drop function allows effortless assignment of any sound source to one or more analogue and digital outputs. This intuitive software interface grants full control over settings such as gain adjustments, real-time effects, and metering. Users can also create eight customised low-latency, 32-channel stereo submixes on the internal bus, assignable to headphones, monitors, effects units, bus compressors, and more. Synergy Core effects can be added, allowing personalised submixes for performing musicians, direct monitoring of Synergy Core effects, and real-time multi-channel hardware-based monitoring and signal summing. All settings are easily saveable and recallable, streamlining session switches and studio workflow - offering unparalleled flexibility to meet the demands of modern audio professionals.
