MPC Ether is the kind of plugin I reach for when a sound feels a little too plain and needs some pizazz and life thrown into it. It adds space, movement, and color without making me feel like I need to spend half the day dialing things in (because who has time for that?). I like that it can take a simple loop, pad, vocal chop, or improved melody and make it feel wider, deeper, and more interesting pretty dang quick. The only real drawback is that it can be easy to overdo it, especially if you start stacking the more atmospheric effects - but honestly that is part of the fun. Used with a little much needed restraint, it is absolutely worth it, and it does exactly what I want from a plugin like this - it spices up the mix.
