Zultan's most affordable cymbal series is called Aja – pronounced "Asia" – and, as the name suggests, is made in China. But unlike the machine-made B8 bronze cymbals offered in the same price range by their competitors, the Ajas are cast from high-quality B20 bronze and finished by hand. In addition to the 8" splash, the Aja range includes other individual cymbals in various sizes and designs, as well as various preconfigured sets.

B20 – the standard yesterday, today, and tomorrow

In China, people have been familiar with the manual production of gongs and cymbals for centuries, so a lot of experience has gone into making the Aja series. 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin, B20 for short, is the bronze alloy that has long been known to be the magic formula for high-quality, melodious cymbals. As the Aja cymbals are finished by hand, each one is unique, which means that slight sound variations among individual cymbals of the same model are normal. The sound of the Zultan 8" Aja Splash is bright and forward, ideal for fast, crisp accents.

Voor de prijs hoef je het niet te laten.

Gewoon voor erbij. Specifieke, best zachte, korte klap met een duidelijke toon, leuk voor de details tussen door.
Ik heb voor deze goedkope splash gekozen als uitbreiding ter variatie, en omdat ik geen goedkope klanken hoor.
Wat natuurijk subjectief is maar iedereen met een beetje oren hoort het verschil tussen een cymbal en een veredeld pannedeksel.

Er is altijd wel een toepassing voor.

Zeker als je het combineert met andere splashes, om een geluidenpalet te creëren, een soort cymbal toonladder zo u wilt.

Ik combineer deze splash variërend met andere splashes van Istanbul en Zildjian van 6"-12"' en met voornamelijk Istanbul main cymbals met een enkele Sabian hi-hat: het past altijd overal tussen en valt nooit uit de toon.

Experimenteren met stacks is ook leuk als cymbals cheaper zijn; ik tenminste heb zo minder het gevoel dat de oorspronkelijke waarde en klank van een cymbal "vergooid" wordt.

Ik klap er nu al meer dan een jaar iedere dag op, en het geeft geen krimp.
De kwaliteit is dus ook ok, en zo voelt het ook als je erop mept.

Mooie afwerking, Prima geluid. Het geeft mij persoonlijk niet hetzelfde gevoel als andere 8" splash bekken maar is op een andere manier toch wel goed voor de prijs.

Klinkt hartstikke goed. Kort en fel. Precies wat je van een splash wil en dat voor minder dan 20 euro. Ik heb er al 2 jaar een bij de leerlingenset hangen, dus die krijgt genoeg klop, maar nog steeds in topconditie!
