With the G2 Four, Zoom presents a compact multi-effects processor that, thanks to its 22 amp and cabinet simulations and 79 integrated effects, offers a wide variety of sounds for both live performances and home recordings. Zoom’s innovative multi-layer IR technology recreates the feel of playing through a conventional amplifier with astonishing authenticity. A total of 300 memory slots are provided for users to save their own patches, and 250 of these come with presets that give players a wide range of iconic guitar tones from the 1950s through to the present day. The compact G2 Four is also equipped with a looper and a drum machine offering 68 rhythm patterns for endless hours of practising and jamming fun. And it doesn’t get any more comfortable than this: The G2 Four is extremely easy to use thanks to its backlit LC display, and the integrated USB-C port also lets the player connect it to a tablet PC or smartphone and access the Handy Guitar Lab app for iOS and Android.

Innovative multi-layer IR technology

All of the Zoom G2 Four's 22 amp and cabinet models are based on the company's new multi-layer IRs, which faithfully reproduce the typical tonal characteristics as well as the playing feel of classic amps and cabinets, and can be transitioned and activated depending on the guitar’s volume. Boasting an extensive range of effects, the G2 Four allows up to seven effects to be used simultaneously and, optionally, to be controlled via an expression pedal that is available separately. What is more, its looper and integrated drum machine offer guitarists virtually unlimited possibilities for creating their own patches. This multi-effects processor is extremely versatile in use thanks to its stereo output, AUX input, and USB-C port, and the backlit display makes operation easy despite the immense wealth of functions on offer.

A feature-packed pedal

The Zoom G2 Four is not only the ideal choice for players looking for a "nerve centre" for their sound - it is also excellent for practising and songwriting thanks to its looper with a recording capacity of up to 80 seconds, which can also be used in sync with the integrated drum machine and its 68 rhythm patterns to create cool loops in no time at all. The Handy Guitar Lab app for iOS and Android allows musicians to comfortably edit and manage their G2 Four patches on a tablet PC or smartphone via the USB-C port, which also allows the G2 Four to be used as a 2-in/2-out audio interface for quick and easy guitar track recordings. The G2 Four comes with an AC adapter, but it can also be powered via the USB-C port.

Je joue depuis 40 de la guitare acoustique et maintenant, j'ai franchi le pas de l'électrique. Ce multi-effet répond pleinement à mes attentes.
Les points positifs:
1) Les simulations d'ampli sont vraiment très sympa et réalistes
2) Les nombreux effets demandent d'y passer du temps pour les tester car il y en a pour tous les goûts. Perso je suis plus sur les son clean, chorus, delay, reverb.
3) La sortie casque ou ampli est parfaite
4) l'appli android fonctionne bien (1€) cela permet de régler les paramètres sans se baisser à terre.
5) Facile a prendre en main, l'utilisation est logique
6) Possibilité de brancher une source auxiliaire.
7) Prix vraiment doux.

Les moins:
1) Le tempo n'est pas indépendant des presets
2) Le looper n'est pas non plus indépendant des presets, il n'est pas possible de faire une boucle en utilisant deux présents différents pour la piste 2.
3) Les presets usines sont mélangés avec les presets utilisateurs, c'est pas très simple de sélectionner ceux qu'on apprécient.
