The Yamaha DGX-670 B's keyboard has a rich polyphony of 256 voices, which can be used to play a total of 630 sounds. In addition to the CFX grand piano, a wide range of acoustic and electric instruments, synth sounds, and drums are available, in addition to which each sound can be enhanced with reverb, chorus, and DSP FX as well as master and part EQs. The accompaniment section offers 263 styles of traditional and modern music genres, divided into eight style categories, and there is space for 100 song presets as well as the option of importing standard MIDI files. Operation takes place via an array of dedicated buttons and a TFT colour display, which can also be used to display notes and lyrics.
