Great product, bad packaging & delivery

I have the same type ligature on my Eb clarinet for a while and love it, so when I needed a replacement for my Bb ligature I knew I wanted this one. It is looks great, plays great, is lightweight. And the flat screw really helps me tighten and open it very easily! I have some problems with gripping the round screws many ligatures have so this one with flat screw is perfect for me. Five stars for the ligature itself!

However:
Deliveryman by DHL did not ring the doorbell or ask me for the required signature, he just forced the package through my letterbox, which did not fit with damage as a result. The packaging box of the ligature was all ripped up and broken but luckily the protective plastic cap has done its duty and the ligature itself is still intact! But it was a close call.
It was packaged in a simple padded envelope, which sadly does invite delivery in the letterbox despite being too big to fit. The envelope was not marked “Fragile” or “Signature required” anywhere. I think Thomann usually does well with packaging and delivery but this time it was very lacking.

easy to use

I really like the simplicity of this ligature - just single, flat screw. This screw is much easier on your fingers than those ribbed circular ones that can hurt!

The only problem I have with this ligature is that for some combinations of mouthpiece and reed, the ligature is simply too big (yes even Vandoren mouthpieces).

Lightweight and robust!

I wanted something dark unlike my silver optimum that I would not have to clean it on a regular basis. This is perfect! Easy to adjust and lightweight. I use 1.5 vandoren traditional reeds and get a very crisp sound.
I would recommend to anyone.
