Great for the price!
Absolutely great piece of kit for the price. It feels very well made, with truly solid build quality, and it sounds great too. The built-in drum machine and looper provide hours of fun noodling. Pair it with a cheap MIDI foot controller, and you have a really nice, compact “amp-in-a-box” setup.
The sounds are great overall, although I’m personally not the biggest fan of how some of the effects sound but that’s really a matter of taste.
It does have a few minor quirks. The lower end of the expression pedal feels a bit choppy to me, so it doesn’t provide a perfectly smooth fade from zero. Also, for some reason, when the internal battery is fully charged and the unit is still connected to a power supply, the outputs become slightly buzzy. I still need to try a few different power supplies to see if that makes any difference.
One feature I’d love to see (although I don’t know if it’s technically possible) would be the option to route the drum machine only to the headphone output instead of the main outputs. That way, you could use it as an on-stage click track without sending it to FOH.
That said, for the price, I’m really nitpicking. It’s a fantastic piece of kit, and if you’re thinking about getting one, I’d definitely recommend it.
