I have bought a number of these over the years for band gear. They are well made and will take a fair amount of abuse. We use them for mics, leads and the miscellaneous items that need some protection. This is a good size as you can get a lot of gear in them and when loaded you can still pick them up without any real problems. Anything much bigger becomes a lifting problem due to weight. The metal trims protect the case and none of the ones we have has ever gone mis-shapen. Handle is plastic on a pivot mechanism - seem solid and have never had one fall off. My only suggestion is if this could be padded - but that's a minor niggle. Locks and hinges are also really solid. Recommended and are a really good price for what they are.
