Don't be fooled by the picture in thinking the stick is flimsy and thin, for it isn't. The wood is over 17mm thick. The sound produced is like one would expect from a fluffy mallet, it's much rounder than a thick felt mallet. I love the added strap so i can hang the mallet from my music stand.
