Dear lord, the sub low from these cabs is insane. I’ve bought 4 of them to try out. The combination is absolutely insane value for money!
The weight of these cabs is pretty well balanced, you should have no problem getting these up and off their feet by yourself. Upright, they can either directly stack with something like the Achat 112 or use an adapter board to stack the equally brilliant Achat 208 HL/HR high/mid speakers.
Two of these bad boys per side each with an Achat 208 on top is more than enough for audiences of 500-750 people with a live band. And with a DJ easily 1000 people, given the right amps and processor settings. The soak up power, so amps with 2000W @ 4 Ohm output are pretty much the minimum you’d need to drive these speakers.
The connector plate having both the 1+/- and 2+/- as options is absolutely brilliant. No more splitting off 4 wire cable into individual channels with custom adapters or interconnects, just rotate the plate on the back as needed and have each speaker be connected to it’s own amp channel. Why doesn’t every speaker have this feature?
As others have remarked, the warnex is rather thin and easily damaged. Nothing a fresh coat of warnex at the end of the season can’t fix though!
I’m absolutely getting 2 more (or maybe even 4, who knows?) in the near future! Highly, highly recommended!
