The Tascam SERIES 8p Dyna is an eight-channel microphone preamplifier and DA converter with compressor. Featuring a sleek front panel and extensive connectivity options, the rugged 1U, 19" SERIES 8p Dyna is an ideal expansion unit for audio interfaces with ADAT and S/MUX inputs via its optical S/MUX outputs. Each channel includes individually switchable phantom power and a built-in single-knob analogue compressor with individually assignable true bypass. The first two channels also function as instrument inputs, selectable via front-panel switches. The unit includes the Tascam PS-P1230 power adapter, featuring four interchangeable plug attachments for global compatibility.

High-end preamplification

All eight channels are equipped with Tascam's proprietary HDIA (High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) microphone preamps, delivering transparent, natural sound with a maximum gain of 52dB. The input section features combo XLR/jack connectors, while the output side offers three options: balanced 6.3mm jack outputs, a 25-pin D-sub connector, and two optical S/MUX outputs. The uncluttered front-panel display provides detailed metering for each channel, showing levels, sampling rate, clipping, and compression status.
