Big change! Forever upgrade.
I upgraded my audio interface from a Behringer umc 1820 to a SSL 18.
It was time for something new/diffrent.
I was looking at a couple of options; Focusrite Scarlett, Focusrite Clarett, Audient ID48.
Yes, all 8 in/out (or more) <-- on one device.
But looking into it the Focusrite options already dropped because you cant bypass the pre-amps. And I wanne experiment with that in the future.
So the Audient was an option but there are minor problems and the fact it had no midi in/out was a no go.
But the fact you can bypass the pre amps was something i wanted. So then I looked at the only option in my price range the SSL 18.
So now i have the SSL 18 for a couple of days, and its a huge change in sound.
Highs are more detailed and the lows are very tight (first i thought the lows where gone, but they are just very tight)
It took me a few days to get used to it.
And yeah al the "extras" like the talkback channel, all te routing in the software and the plugin bundle you get with it is a nice little extra.
