Part of Shure's long‑established SM microphone family, it applies the same purpose‑built approach to instrument capture as the KSM series, while offering one of the broadest application ranges in the SM instrument lineup. The ultra‑thin diaphragm delivers a neutral, balanced frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz, with articulate high‑end reproduction and a controlled low‑end roll‑off. A ‑15dB pad raises the maximum SPL from 144dB to 159dB for close placement on loud sources. A swivel adapter, zippered pouch and foam windscreen are included as standard; 48V phantom power is required.
