Down where the sound is

The Shure Low-Profile Tripod Mic Stand is a specialist floor-level microphone stand with a telescoping boom arm, designed specifically for close-miking kick drums, guitar amplifiers, bass cabinets, and other low-positioned sound sources. Manufactured by Gator for Shure under licence, the collapsible tripod's base adjusts between 508mm and 597mm (20–23.5") via an ergonomic twist clutch, while the telescoping boom provides additional reach for precise microphone placement without repositioning the base. Finished in black powder-coated steel with non-slip rubber feet and removable white safety trim on the legs, it weighs 1.8kg. The fixed Euro 3/8"-16 thread and supplied US 5/8"-27 adapter cover both international mounting standards.

Shure Low-Profile Tripod Mic Stand

For very close close-miking

The Shure Low-Profile Tripod Mic Stand isn't built for vocalists – it's built for the sources that sit closer to the floor. The low tripod profile keeps the stand stable and out of the way in tight stage setups or studio booths – between a kick drum pedal and the front head, in front of a guitar cabinet at floor level, or tucked beneath a bass amp without obstructing the performer. The telescoping boom extends the microphone's reach independently of the base, allowing precise microphone placement without moving the stand itself. As with any counterbalanced boom stand, heavier microphones are best used with the boom at moderate rather than maximum extension.

Shure Low-Profile Tripod Mic Stand

About Shure

The American company Shure began developing microphones during the early 1930s and is one of the pioneers of the audio engineering sector. Models such as the 55 Unidyne – known to many as the "Elvis microphone" – and the SM57 and SM58 which appeared in the mid-1960s are still ubiquitous in live sound production today. They enjoy cult status among musicians and technicians alike. In the 1990s, Shure introduced the first wireless microphones and in-ear monitoring systems and became a market leader in this field. In addition to microphones, Shure offers a wide range of earphones and headphones for studio and live use, as well as various accessories.

Stays secure while staying out of the way

The Shure Low-Profile Tripod suits drummers, guitarists, bass players, and recording or live sound engineers who regularly work with low-level sound sources and need a stand that stays out of the way while staying securely in position. Its compact footprint makes it a practical choice for studios, rehearsal rooms, and live venues where space is limited and precise microphone placement is essential. The collapsible tripod folds flat for storage and transport, while the removable white safety trim keeps it visible on dark stages where a floor-level stand can easily become a trip hazard. Finished with a discreet black-and-white Shure logo, it complements the company's wider range of microphones, stands, and accessories.
