Production soundmixer here: if using Schoeps microphones on a boom the B5D is an invaluable asset. Keeping your sound safe from slight windnoise that would otherwise ruin your tracks.. highly recommended. Sounds very transparant as well due to the construction: a lightweight plastic frame with a open-cell foamcover slides over the microphone creating a pocket of dead-air.
