Pigtronix Gatekeeper Micro Pedal

So the first - it is the gate-trigger pedal, denoising is the second functiin of it. When you play long alone notes on fuitar it cuts the tail imidiatly, too speedy, and to adjust 2 knobs to solve this trouble its impossible. When you play somethind speedy or melodic, the pedal works as a nice filter-triger before delay and mod effects in one line pedalboard from 5-8 units.

Cons:
- Too heavy for minipedals: it weghts almost as a BOSS standart pedal
- Gatekeeper Pigtronix is better good for drums, in cases when you need speedy and hi-end trigger for your kick or hat.

The Pigtronix Gatekeeper Micro surprised me in the best possible way. I bought it mainly to control noise in a high-gain modern metal setup, and it immediately tightened the entire rig without killing sustain or dynamics. The pedal is extremely compact, but it feels sturdy and professional, with simple controls that make dialing it in fast and intuitive.

What stands out most is how natural the gate feels. It removes unwanted hiss, hum, and idle noise while still letting the guitar breathe. Palm-muted riffs stay sharp and aggressive, fast rhythmic playing becomes cleaner, and stops feel precise instead of messy. The release control is especially useful because it allows the gate to stay musical instead of sounding robotic or choppy. It works very well both in front of an amp and with amp simulators/plugin-based setups.

Overall, this pedal became one of those “always on” essentials in my signal chain. For players using distortion, extended-range guitars, low tunings, or modern tight rhythm tones, this little pedal adds a huge sense of control and professionalism to the sound. Excellent value for the price.

Il y a juste un truc qui pourrait en gêner certains :
La sensibilité minimale est pas si basse que ça. Si vous avez un niveau de sortie bas (micros simples par exemple) la pédale va couper trop tôt. Là je suis en micros doubles avec un niveau de sortie plus haut que la moyenne et pourtant je suis à la limite de pas avoir assez de sustain pour faire une note tenue en haut du manche. Je suis au minimum de sensibilité et je peux pas ouvrir la noise gate plus que ça.
Pas sûr que la plage de sensibilité soit bien conçue donc.
