Native Instruments Driver (ESD); virtual effects plugin; creative filter and distortion plugin with modulation unit; Driver is a versatile effect plugin that combines filtering, distortion, and complex modulation. The filter is a resonant 12?dB state-variable design that can be switched between low-pass and notch modes. Within its feedback loop sits a dynamic distortion section capable of extreme sound manipulation – from subtle coloration to self-oscillating feedback. Modulation sources include an envelope follower and an audio modulation unit, the latter also featuring an internal sine oscillator. Core parameters include Input, Resonance, Cutoff, Distortion, Color, Filter Type (LPF or Notch), and Output. The envelope follower can modulate both cutoff and distortion, with selectable polarity, smoothing, and release time. The modulation input can be sidechained from external sources. The AM section offers either audio or oscillator modulation with Clip Cut intensity control, Lag (slew limiter), modulation targets (Cutoff, Distortion), and rate/range control in oscillator mode. Preset system includes A/B comparison, factory and user presets, INIT state, and touchscreen compatibility; Effects & Routing: filter with feedback distortion, spectral coloration, modulation via envelope and audio/osc source, M/S mode, stereo link, sidechain input
