MXR 6 Band Equalizer Silver

I’ve been using the MXR 6 Band Equalizer Silver for a while now, and overall I’m really happy with it. The pedal feels solid and reliable — the aluminum housing is tough, and the illuminated sliders are super handy on stage. It gives me clean, precise control over my tone, and I love how quiet it is compared to other EQ pedals I’ve tried.

The six bands cover exactly the frequencies I need, and the ±18 dB range makes it easy to shape my sound or give a solo that extra push. It’s straightforward to use, which means I can focus on playing instead of fiddling with settings.

That said, I do wish it had a dedicated output volume control. Sometimes I’d like a bit more flexibility there, and the LEDs can be very bright in darker settings. Still, those are minor issues compared to how well it performs.

This pedal does its job really well, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable EQ. Not perfect, but definitely a strong 4‑star piece of gear in my setup.
