Let op: Bij correct gebruik gaat de MusicNomad topkamvijl met diamantcoating zeer lang mee. Oorspronkelijk bekend uit industriële toepassingen geldt diamant als een van de meest bestendige slijpmiddelen ooit. Gebruik deze vijlen uitsluitend voor topkammen van been, grafiet, kunststof of TUSQ-materialen of voor brugzadels van messing of zink. De vijlen zijn niet geschikt voor het slijpen van staal. Reinig de vijlen regelmatig met een borstel om slijpresten uit de tussenruimtes in de diamantcoating te verwijderen. Als de slijpwerking aan het voorste deel van de vijl afneemt, kan de vijl in het handvat worden gedraaid om het minder gebruikte achterste deel naar voren te brengen.
