The drum set in briefcase format

The Millenium Nonapad is a multipad that combines nine playing surfaces in a compact housing and contains close to 600 internal sounds. Thanks to the MIDI and USB connections, external sound sources can be triggered as well. You can also connect up to four additional pads, allowing the Nonapad to be configured like a traditional drum kit. In addition to the internal sounds, around half of the Nonapad's 512MB of space is available for user sounds such as loops or samples, which can be combined with the internal sounds at will. A recording function allows you to quickly create sequences that can be played back as loops. An equaliser, a limiter, and a reverb effect are available for sound editing.

Huge selection of sounds

Using an optionally available mounting and a multi-clamp, it is possible to attach the Nonapad to any tripod. Thanks to its rubber feet, it can also be placed on a tabletop to prevent it from slipping if you want to use it at home. The 592 internal sounds and the 30 preset drum kits have the right sound for everyone. And if you prefer using your own sounds, you can save them to the internal memory of the Nonapad via a USB stick. The blue-illuminated LCD screen enables convenient editing, and nine lights assigned to the playing surfaces indicate the activity of the respective trigger. Variable dynamic curves allow you to adjust the response behaviour of the pads to your individual playing style.

Plenty of space for user sounds

The Nonapad offers every drummer the opportunity to expand their sonic palette with countless other sounds, be they electronic sounds, loops, backing tracks, or their own recorded samples. For example, you can easily incorporate special sounds from studio recordings into your live performance. The Nonapad is also ideal for recording at home: Thanks to the quantisation function, drum tracks can also be recorded even if you’re not a drummer, and the USB and MIDI connections ensure perfect integration into music production on a computer. And if you’re short of a drummer in the rehearsal room, you can simply jam along to one of the 17 preset drum tracks.

Ik heb dit apparaat gekocht als midi apparaat voor Ableton Live met mijn M1 MacBook Pro 13 Inch.
Werkt prima. (Moest wel even mijn computer opnieuw starten voordat Ableton het zag)
Ook de samples laden gaat prima en je kan makkelijk en snel van kits wisselen. Hiervoor heb je de HXW Wavemanager nodig. Deze kun je downloaden via: .
Deze pad wordt onder verschillende namen en prijzen verkocht.
Ik heb namen gezien zoals LEKATO PD705, HXW PD705, DBDrums npad, DD90 DigiPad Sampler van gearmusic.
Het verschil tussen al deze apparaten is dat ze verschillende geheugen hebben zoals opslag etc. Er zijn nog wat andere technische verschillen. En het lijkt erop dat sommigen in bepaalde landen/gebieden niet verkocht mogen worden?
Ik ben op dit moment zeer tevreden over de nonapad, tenzij er mankementen optreden.
Ik denk dat de drummer voor een baithak bandje hier wel tevreden mee zou zijn.
Dit is een prima alternatief voor de SPD SX.
Zorg er wel voor dat je goede kabels erbij koopt.

I bought a dirt cheap Yamaha HH65 and It seems to be able to switch the pad of the hi hat. But it doesn't trigger the foot switch it self.
It also doesn't activate the trigger light of the foot switch.
But for a hobbyist drummer that doesn't know how to drum yet, this seems to be enough.
It also does the opposite. If you press the pedal it plays the open sound and if you release the pedal it plays the closed sound.

Veel voor weinig geld

Als je op zoek bent naar wat extra geluiden voor de drummer en heb je geen zin om een enorme verzameling percussie instrumenten aan te schaffen, laat staan veel geld uit te geven , is de Millennium Nonapad een prima investering.
Gemonteerd op een optioneel statief is het eenvoudig te integreren in een drumstel. In één klap heb je als drummer een enorme hoeveelheid goede samples ter beschikking. De combinatie mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos. Zelfs kun je eigen geluiden toevoegen.
De geluidskwaliteit is prima.
Nog leuker is de mogelijkheid de Nonapad als drumstel te gebruiken in een hele kleine setting. Twee kabeltjes naar een mengtafel. Je sluit een pedaal voor digitaal drums aan en een footswitch voor de hi-hat en drummen maar.
Omdat de mogelijkheden zo groot zijn, moet je je wel even verdiepen in de handleiding en oefenen, maar het hoeft allemaal niet in één keer. Je kunt ook spelenderwijs veel ontdekken.
Als je nog niet overtuigd bent, moet je de demo video op Thomann bekijken.

Very nice pad with a lot of features

Cons:
Rotating knobs have a gritty feel to them, not very pleasant, had to change the top to some spare ones from a mixer I had.
If you play 2 neighbor pads simultaneously it doesn't work properly 2 out of 3 times.
The navigation is not that clear with OK, SELECT, etc, but you get the hang of it with ease.
Pros:
Great for the price, strong build and tons of memory.
30 editable sets which get you plenty of options live.
Easy to use, plug and play with a large library of sound.
4 external trigger possibility which gives you 13 pads to play in total, which is amazing for the price.
I definitely recommend it.

The only thing I couldn't find in the manual/box but was able to find in a video was the fact that you can only upload WAV files 48kHz and 16 bits.

As an African drummer with an eclectic tastes, I needed a specific percussion sound. I've tried many electronic pads but to no availed. I saw an advert online and I decided to try the "MILLENIUM NONAPAD", guess what, I've found every sound I ever wanted. It's very easy to use and the price is affordable.
