Desk-mount microphone arm
The Millenium MA-2050 is a spring-balanced desk microphone arm fitted with a standard 5/8" microphone thread, designed for recording studios, podcasting setups, and multimedia workstations where flexible microphone positioning is required without sacrificing valuable workspace. The supplied clamp attaches securely to the desk edge, while the integrated 3m XLR cable keeps the installation tidy by eliminating the need to route a separate XLR cable along the arm. The package includes the desk clamp together with two screw-mount fittings for permanent installation, including an extended version that increases the arm's mounting height for standing applications.

Spring-loaded construction
The Millenium MA-2050 consists of two powder-coated black arm sections totalling approximately 100cm in length, connected at three pivot points and held under tension by four steel springs. Once positioned, each joint and mounting point locks via wing nuts – the central joint prevents the spring tension from pulling the arm out of position once locked. The desk clamp secures to table edges up to 55mm thick; the arm itself weighs 2.8kg and supports microphones up to 1.5kg, while the anti-rotation screw at the clamp prevents the arm from turning accidentally once adjusted.

Positioning and workflow
The three-joint design gives the Millenium MA-2050 considerable reach and angular flexibility – the arm can be swung out of the way between sessions and returned to a consistent position without reconfiguring the clamp. This makes it practical in shared workspaces or home studios where the desk serves multiple purposes. The arm can also be removed from the clamp just as easily once a session is finished, making it straightforward to clear the workspace or store it when not in use. For podcasters, broadcasters, and streamers working from a fixed position, the arm returns the microphone to exactly the same working position from one session to the next once the joints have been locked. As a Thomann own-brand product, the MA-2050 is also backed by a three-year Thomann warranty.
