Nice rack with extra AUX inputs and outputs for weird applications :-)

Well it is a rack so you can't expect me to tell you it sounds wonderful :-)
Solid switches on the back of the rack for linking channels ( 1 with 2 , 3 with 4 etc etc ) and comp link buttons. The rack it self is very heavy build. decent old school type on-off toggle switch with matching power light .

Best part for me are the aux input and output ports which make it possible to use 1 unit stereo modules or using mono compressors with side chain if they have access to this port.

The reason for buying this product ... I designed 1 unit cards with dual mono / stereo inputs , 2 unit cards with 4 inputs ( format A / B ) and assignable outputs ..

In a nutshell : 10 cards allows me to have 20 channels or multiple multichannel cards in one 19" 3HE rack ...

I'm thinking of buying an other rack or 2 for building my own 500 series mixing console ...
And this rack has all the inputs and output already on board.

Probably not bad - 1 major flaw

I haven't tested the sound of it because I haven't got any modules yet. The problem I'm having with this unit is that it doesn't fit into any of my racks. The bay where the modules should sit is just a millimeter or 2 too wide. I had to ram it into my desk because it was so tight... Every other piece of hardware I have fits easily in it. It's just a standard 19 inch rack... It definitely does not fit into my DIY racks, which I accidentally built 2 millimeters short. Still, every other piece of gear that I have fits in there..
I am probably going to return it. Pretty annoying because it seems to be a great unit functionally.
Oh and in my opinion, the blue colour looks very cheap although it is good quality metal. Would prefer a black model or any other colour for that matter.

Great hardware, bad power supply.

The case looks and feels great, I cannot say anything bad about this. The XLR connectors are good quality Neutriks, which is a surprise at this price point.
Unfortunately the power supply fails now and then, it gets into a power cycling loop and the power light blinks. This is not acceptable. I won't return it because a third party, high quality power supply for this case will be a better solution.

No noise issues, no insertion issues (on a range of doublewide and single modules - from various brands), great addition of comp buss buttons on rear as well as neighbouring module connection. Simply great unit.

The fact you need a torx screwdriver for the screws is only minor annoyance but honestly for this price who cares. Was looking at getting the RND 10 space which is so much more expensive and tbh was concerned about the cheap price of this unit but so far...so good!

Highly recommended.
